SELF-DRIVE ROUTE

Pokhara Jomsom

Gateway to Upper Mustang and Muktinath — dramatic high-altitude desert scenery in the Annapurna rain shadow.

Distance

162 km

Drive Time

~5 hrs

On a Single Charge

Comfortably within range for every EV in our fleet, one-way on a single charge.

The Road

Shares the same road as the Kushma route as far as a junction near Kushma, then forks right toward Beni (left goes to Baglung instead). Blacktop as far as Beni, then unpaved and exposed to landslides beyond it, especially in monsoon — a 4WD-capable vehicle is strongly recommended past that point, not a city hatchback.

Charging Along the Way

Every trip starts with a full charge in Pokhara — NEA operates a station at the Kalika petrol pump, plus there are plenty of private charging options around the city.

No confirmed EV charging stop in Jomsom itself yet. The nearest confirmed station is well beyond it, in Tsarang (Upper Mustang) — plan this trip only with a full charge and a clear turnaround plan.
